Mason County Land Bank Authority

RFP OPPORTUNITY:  The Mason County Land Bank Authority is requesting bids for the abatement and demolition of the former Free Soil School located at 8480 N. Democrat St., Free Soil, MI. The work will be conducted under the Blight Elimination Program Grant received by the Mason County Land Bank Authority through the State Land Bank Authority with funding from the federal government. As such, there are specific stipulations and requirements; however, because the project is limited to demolition, Davis Bacon does NOT apply. Click here for the demolition bid form and the asbestos abatement demolition information.

The Mason County Land Bank Authority (MCLBA) was created as a tool to help return blighted properties to productive use. Land banks can assist in the remediation of tax reverted properties and apply for grants specific to land banks in Michigan.
