The Mason County Zoning Board of Appeals will be meeting for the following requests:
Janelle & Brandon Beaver has filed an application with the Mason County Zoning Board of Appeals for a 200’ variance from the maximum 1,000 square foot floor area allowed for an accessory dwelling unit as well as a 118’ variance from the required 200’ front yard setback for an accessory dwelling unit to be located within the front yard in order to convert an existing 30’ x 40’ accessory building into an accessory dwelling unit. The subject property is located in the Agricultural (AG) zoning district, Eden Township, parcel 004-004-001-01, access 2871 S Custer Rd, Custer.
The ZBA will reconvene the public hearing for Doug Borchardt for an application filed with the Mason County Zoning Board of Appeals for a variance on a property located in the Single Family Residential (R) zoning district, Logan Township, parcel 008-100-018-00, access 7373 S Porter Rd, Branch. The applicant has requested a 10' variance and a 4' variance from the required 24' minimum width along any elevation for a dwelling at the time of placement for a 14' X 20' shed to receive additions after placement to meet the minimum 24' width requirement as well as the minimum 720 square feet of living space on the main level requirement for a dwelling. Also requested is a 5’ variance from the required 10’ side yard setback.
