    Notice: To the Clerk of Mason County, the Supervisor(s) of Freesoil, Sherman and Sheridan  Township(s), and to all other real property owners within parts of Section 26, 35 and 36 of Freesoil Township, Sections 1 and 2 of Sherman Township and Section 6 of Sheridan Township as contained in the Gunn Lake Drainage District

    A Day-of-Review is scheduled for March 20, 2020 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM ESDST

    in the office of the Drain Commissioner, 102 E. Fifth Street, Scottville, Michigan 49454.

    In light of the recent COVID-19 situation, assessment reviews will be accomplished by phone or email only at (231) 757-9366 or ddunlap@masoncounty.net.  This meeting is open to the public and as such, the Drain Commissioner will accept all calls/emails. 

    At this time, we are unable to accept visitors at the Drain office. 

    If you wish to appeal your assessment, you may file at the Probate Court.  If the Probate Court is closed, then email the Drain Commissioner directly.  Once the Probate Court office opens Property Owners will be allowed 10 days to file an official appeal.       

    We thank you for your understanding while we do our best to ensure that we meet the needs of the Community, uphold the Drain Code and work to maintain everyone’s safety.
